MSc Thesis Examination Timeline

  1. Obtain permission from Supervisory Committee to begin writing thesis. This can be done at a supervisory committee meeting.
  2. When the thesis is complete, have supervisor and committee members review and complete the Supervisory Committee MSc Thesis Approval Form.
  3. Submit signed Supervisory Committee Thesis Approval Forms to the Graduate Program Coordinator; supervisor selects and informally invites the examination committee and completes the MSc Examination Committee Approval Form to the Program Director. Upon approval, the supervisor formally invites the examiners to sit on the examination committee.
  4. The final thesis is distributed to the examination committee at least 3 weeks in advance of the exam by the student.
  5. At conclusion of successful oral examination, have Masters Thesis Approval Form signed.
  6. When thesis revisions are complete, submit the Masters Thesis Approval Form along with the Thesis Cover Sheet to the Graduate Program for review and submission to G+PS. At this point, the thesis can be submitted to cIRcle.
